Desert Ironwood burl with Turquoise SOLD

SOLD   These stunning grips are truly unique. Not only is the figure off-the-charts, there is gemstone included! "Eyes" or inclusions falling out of burl is a frequent occurence...it's just what they do. Normally, the large voids caused by this are filled with sanding dust and CA glue or with tinted epoxy. In this case, though, the voids were gradually, painstakingly filled with crushed Turquoise.and CA glue. The result is that it looks as if the wood grew around the Turquoise. We gave the wood and mineral a high polish and topped it off with a hand-rubbed tung oil finish for a little extra protection. Put these on your barbeque gun, carry in your best holster and you're gonna knock it out of the park at the next barbeque. They're not just pretty faces, though....these beauties are just as at home in everyday carry as they are at social functions.
