This full size slim set of grips is cut from highly chatoyant Master Grade Hades Roasted curly Maple. The wood is actually heat treated (literally roasted) which collapses the cell structure, making it more dense. The gorgeous color is a byproduct of the process, and it accentuates the chatoyance, too. This set is cut to fit a bobtail frame (fits Ed Brown, Dan Wesson, Nighthawk, others. Please ask if you have questions about fit for a specific model.) These are cut with an "airfoil" (or teardrop)profile where the rear edge tapers to the front edge. They feel great, especially for shooters with smaller hands. They use slim grip screws and bushings, so if your 1911 doesn't currently have slim hardware you'll need to change it.
