This set is cut for full size 1911s and have a beveled bottom with pin reveal cuts. The crazy beautiful wood is Hades Roasted Maple with very, very tight "blister" figure. Yes, the wood is literally roasted for stability and density (it's also where that gorgeous color comes from), and yes the blister figure does look like beaded water droplets! The blisters range from very small to very large, showing off in an appealing random arrangement. The wood is also highly chatoyant, giving it great "shimmer" and depth.
